The story centers on Sally a young girl (Bailee Madison) who is set to live with her father (Guy Pearce) and his girlfriend (Katie Holmes) in an old mansion they are renovating. She unwittingly unleashes malevolent creatures that try to destroy her entire family.

Who is Super 8? What is Super 8? Does Super 8 come with its own guerilla marketing campaign? American cinemagoers have had the answer to at least one of those questions after getting a glimpse of a new, hush-hush collaboration between JJ Abrams and Steven Spielberg

Long-running speculation had suggested that Super 8 was to be a sequel, or prequel, to Abrams's Cloverfield. This has been denied by a spokeswoman for Paramount, who went on to claim it was inspired by films Abrams "loved and admired as a teenager". Which could include Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind, or perhaps a paranoid chase thriller like George Cosmatos's The Cassandra Crossing. Or maybe just his dad's home videos.

The new trailer continues Abrams's form in the teasing department. Cloverfield gained huge word-of-mouth anticipation thanks to a series of trailers that seemed to show handycam footage of a decimated Manhattan. Abrams, who was responsible for the recent Star Trek reboot and Mission: Impossible III, was also, of course, the creator of Lost, perhaps the biggest tease in TV history.

The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises movie has been announced as a project which will go ahead with production soon and The Dark Knight Rises movie will definitely be anticipated and eagerly waited by fans who have enjoyed the previous parts of the series. Being the third installment to the series this sure will venture to attract much attention since fans have been harboring hopes and expectations of another addition to the series with ardent interest.  First movie of the series which had been Batman Begins had managed to be a successful movie which had been well received by audience and critics. However its was the next installment The Dark Knight which had gone on to become the most successful in the series by getting highly positive responses and then moving on to win awards as well.

Christopher Nolan will resume his duties as director of The Dark Knight Rises movie which will be to amusement and enjoyment of viewers and with his skills as a director displayed finely through his recent venture as well upcoming addition is most likely to vouch for his finesse and brilliance again. However it will also be a considerable task for him to make this one as a worthy kind of a follow up to the series since fans will evidently want to have striking and stunning cinematic experience which they can enjoy to the fullest. It sure will not an easy task to come up with a third part to a positively received movie franchise since many hopes and expectations will be placed by fans surely.

The Dark Knight Rises movie is said to have Christian Bale who will return to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne or Batman and it has also been stated that Gary Oldman and Michael Caine might also return to reprise their respective roles. Moreover a number of well known actresses are being considered for female lead roles with one of them will be the love interest of Batman while the other will be that of a villain. Additionally it has been mentioned that script will be finished by the beginning of next year.  And 20th of July in 2012 has also been set as the release date for action and thriller packed flick.
